Cosmonautica
Cosmonautica is a transmedia project that has been developed in different formats to better adapt to the different types of contemporary immersive projections. The premiere of the immersive 360° version will be held at Syllepse from april 27th to June 28th 2024 in Geneva.
The standard version will be presented at Art x Science Night @ CERN in Geneva on May 17th 2024.
"Cosmonautica” is an immersive experience that employs space art/live-action footage as its medium to take the viewer on a journey into both the inner and outer cosmos, showcasing abstract textures, galaxies, stars, nebulas, white and black hole, stimulating the pareidolia effect.
The film is 100% live-action, without the use of CGI or AI, creating a unique viewing experience.
In "Cosmonautica," the high magnification shots utilize fluid dynamics and light reflection in macro scales to create a realistic dynamic and shape. The use of handcrafted techniques adds a unique touch to the film, allowing for a more organic feel to the visuals. The result is a breathtaking and immersive experience that transports the viewer to a world beyond our own.
The film's dark and marvelous scenario is accompanied by original music and sound design, specifically designed for the footage, and spatialized for an immersive experience.
In an age where technology is advancing at a breakneck pace, this artisanal and entirely anachronistic production process presents itself as a moving painting, offering an overview effect from an even more distant perspective. "Cosmonautica" is a one-of-a-kind visual experience that explores the mysteries of the universe and humanity's place within it.
